Hope Community Center's Spring Makeover
Early this March, my friend Jon and I finished a round of updates for our volunteering project, hopecommunitycenter.org, most visibly a new color scheme for Spring. We also added graphical functionality in the Admin section to edit several key site-wide code snippets that load from the site database, such as header and footer content. This is intended to help the director and his staff to more easily update the site, and is a precursor to a full-fledged page-by-page editing tool that is in development.
An introductory statement from the front page of the website:
Hope Community Center is a nonprofit project run by the Hope Foundation which works with inner city children and refugees to improve their lives and build a stronger community in Charlottesville.
